It feels weird doing an MLB season preview at the end of July, but that means that American sports are right around the corner! We welcome back a former guest, Mr. Jack Nations, to discuss all things MLB and how we see the season shaping out. We chat about the shortened season & how we see teams taking different approaches to in-game strategies and day-to-day operations. Also, if you didn't know there are some new rules for the 2020 season this year and we discuss how this might effect the game, as well as the schedule changes and which teams could benefit most from playing an inferior division. After taking a week off for America's Birthday (and our last week off as long as there is going to be football in the fall), we come back to you with a LOADED episode. Starting a dialogue. That's all we wanted to accomplish with this discussion. Yes, we are two white men in rural America, but we do not stand with police brutality or racism. All we wanted to do was have a conversation and step out of our comfort zone by discussing what happened to George Floyd and the results of the protests afterward. Sports are slowly starting to come back into our lives! Over the last week or so we have seen three UFC events, a NASCAR race, soccer overseas, and a golf match for charity. While these aren't the main sports we are used to watching, they all set very good precedents for the NBA, NHL, and MLB to come back. With that knowledge, your favorite 2 Drunk Brothers propose their plans on how we can bring these leagues back this summer and salvage the seasons without majorly impacting next year. Let us know your thoughts and if you have a better plan! We also discuss the Drive for Relief charity golf skins match that happened this past weekend between Rory McIlroy & Dustin Johnson vs. Rickie Fowler & Dustin Wolf. It was fun and was a perfect segway to the ProAm match happening this weekend between Tiger Woods & Peyton Manning vs. Phil Mickelson & Tom Brady. It should be a good one and Travis breaks down the event and who to hammer.
